Uwe Kockisch was born on 31 January 1944 in Cottbus, Germany. He was an actor, known for The Weissensee Saga (2010), Die Besucher (2012) and Eine Stadt wird erpresst (2006). He was married to Franziska Petri and Christine Gautier. He died on 22 December 2025 in Madrid, Spain.

Was sentenced to one year in jail after trying to flee East Germany with some friends.

Graduated from the Drama School &quot;Ernst Busch&quot; in Berlin.

Lives with his partner Christine Gautier in Madrid.
