Rob Nokes, was a managing partner of Sound Dogs LA from 1995-2002, and then went solo with Sounddogs until 2019 when he sold the company to Sound Ideas. Throughout the 2000's and 2010's he was the Supervising Sound Editor for all episodes of the Fox series, Bones, in addition to feature films like Miracle, Planes, and Just Friends. Since 2007 he has worked on Korean features as a SFX Supervisor / Designer, most notably Kundo and Along With The Gods.

Since 2016 he has received five Cinema Audio Society Award nominations for his development of Absentia DX and Actors Mobile ADR. He also developed a quad wheel ADR robot, which is still used at Todd-AO as of 2022. In 2017, he entered into a partnership with Deluxe at 900 Seward St. LA, to manage the ADR stage as Todd-AO, a legendary trademark he acquired in 2014 with the acquisition of the Todd-Soundelux sound libraries. As of 2020, he co-produced a Uruguayan feature film titled, Virus 32.

As of this writing, Rob is the Supervising Sound Editor on a Lionsgate feature titled Are You There God, It Is Me Margaret.
