Mini bio

  • Born in Rome to a Piedmontese father of Austrian origins and a Roman mother, she has acted in several films and TV series since the end of the eighties: her debut was in 1988 with Mario Monicelli's "I picari", which was followed in 1990 " The return of the great friend "by Giorgio Molteni. She is also a theater actress. She made her debut at a very young age in the theater with Memé Perlini, in Giovanni Verga's "She wolf", continuing her theatrical journey with Vittorio Gassmann in "Camper", a show that debuted at the Spoleto Festival in 1994. Immediately after she was chosen by Luciano Manuzzi for the film "The peacocks", presented at the Venice Film Festival, where she plays Maso's high bourgeois girlfriend. In Germany for the ZDF she took part into a television series called "Europa Lyceum" directed by Hans Lichti. Back in Italy, we see her in "The graduates" by Leonardo Pieraccioni, next to Gianmarco Tognazzi. Among the film productions, "The phobics", directed by Giancarlo Scarchilli with Marco Giallini and Daniele Liotti. "Tuttoapposto" by Franco Bertini, "Tutto in una notte" by Franco Bertini. She then devotes herself only to the theater. Among her works, it's worth to be mentioned "Coriolanus" directed by Roberto Cavosi, "The vagina monologues" by Eve Ensler, "Riccardo III" by William Shakespeare, Claudio Fava's "The madwoman next door", Giovanni Anversa's "The holiday", directed by Pino Strabioli, Mario Gelardi's "Wastepaper" and "An hour at the theater" with Erri De Luca in 2021. She was the godmother at the 2011 edition of the Golden Halberd Cultural Awards in Rome. She has been married since 7 June 1998 to Alessandro Gassmann, with whom on 22 November of the same year she had a son, Leo, a singer-songwriter.
