Biography

Jugal Kishore was a director and actor, known for Anokha (1975), Fareb (1968) and Khoj (1971). He died on June 21, 1979 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

He belonged to a small village Thakurdwara near Palampur in Himachal Pradesh (HP). He lost his father at an early age. Belonging to a very poor family he went to Bombay to seek some work. He made a few Punjabi and Hindi films and achieved the biggest success in his Silver Jublie movie "DADA". He could not enjoy the success of Dada, as he died of a heart attack in 1979.

Always mistaken with Raj Kapoor's uncle Jugal Kishore Mehra ( who was related to Salma Agha after he adopted her mother).
