Biography

Jeane Kirkpatrick was born on November 19, 1926 in Duncan, Oklahoma, USA. She was married to Evron M. Kirkpatrick. She died on December 7, 2006 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, 1981-1985. She was the first woman to ever hold this post.

Graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School, Mt. Vernon, Illinois, in 1944.
