Biography

The third son of character actor Wright King, Meegan was born Off Broadway and raised in the San Fernando Valley. After his initial encounter in a bit on Gunsmoke at six, he became enamored of the process of film. He attended and performed at Cal State Northridge's Teenage Drama Workshop and Cleveland High in Reseda alongside Charles Martin Smith, Don Stark, Morgan Brittany, Patricia Mattick, Wendy Jo Sperber, and Mare Winningham. After graduation, he met his first agent while studying with Jeff Corey, and was then cast as Tony opposite Stephanie Kramer in a production of West Side Story among an assortment of talented up and comers including Kario Salem as Bernardo and Kevin Spacey working stage crew. He was soon co starring and guesting on episodic television, a string of B movies, and over 30 commercials in short order. Things were going well when he was cast as Pete Curtis on Days of Our Lives (winning a Youth in Film award) and got cast as Mark McCallister in Arthur Kopit's "Starstruck" pilot for CBS. Things came to a abrupt halt after a major car accident. It took a couple of years to fully recover, in the meantime he learned the ins and outs of production and the art department behind the scenes. A new chapter started, acting in 99 seat waiver land, then to Off Broadway and regional theater. In New York, he spent time studying with the masters; Stella Adler, Sandford Meisner, Herbert Berghof, and his favorite Uta Hagen. Back in Los Angeles he wrote and performed the solo actor shows Living Another Life, and Living in Dreamland. Dreamland, a show about several characters on the fringes of Hollywood was critically acclaimed and has been the basis for the "Midboomer Chronicles" web series.
