King Mohammed V was born on 10 August 1909 in Fes, Morocco. He was married to Lalla Abla bint Tahar, Lalla Hanila bint Mamoun and Lalla Bahia bint Antar. He died on 26 February 1961 in Lausanne, Canton de Vaud, Switzerland.
Former sultan of Morocco, he became king in 1957. He is the father of king Hassan II and grandfather of king Mohammed VI of the Moroccan Alaouite dynasty.
