Axel Kielland was born on 14 February 1907 in Stavanger, Norway. He was a writer and actor, known for Mannen som alla ville mörda (1940), Lev farligt (1944) and Herren og hans tjenere (1959). He was married to Sonja Mjøen and Agny Kielland. He died on 25 November 1963 in Oslo, Norway.

Grandson of Norwegian novelist <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0452474/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Alexander Kielland</a> and son of Jens Zetlitz Kielland
(1873-1926), also a writer.

Dramatist and writer, worked as a journalist for the Norwegian news
magazine Dagbladet.

Daughter by Sonja Mjoen - Irene Kielland Gabrielsen.
