- Wolfgang Kieling was born on March 16, 1924 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor and assistant director, known for Torn Curtain (1966), Singin' in the Rain (1952) and Planet of the Apes (1968). He was married to Monika Gabriel, Gisela Uhlen, Jola Jobst and Johanna Kieling. He died on October 7, 1985 in Hamburg, West Germany.

- Dark-haired, smoky-voiced German character actor, who began as a singing child star. He was best known internationally for his role as East German 'Stasi' goon Hermann Gromek, killed dramatically by Paul Newman in Alfred Hitchcock's thriller Torn Curtain (1966).
