Biography

Vladimir Khotinenko was born on January 20, 1952 in Slavgorod, Altayskiy kray, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He is a director and writer, known for Makarov (1993), 72 metra (2004) and Musulmanin (1995). He is married to Tatyana Yakovleva. They have one child. He was previously married to Dilorom Kambarova.

He has two children and three grandchildren. He and his first wife, Soviet-era actress Dilorom Kambarova, have one daughter, Polina, who works in film as a costume designer. And he and his second wife, Tatyana Yakovleva, who teaches the history of foreign film at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, have one son, Russian director, writer, and actor Ilya Khotinenko. Ilya and his wife have, in turn, given his parents three grandchildren: Serafim, Ivan, and Fyokla.
