Valeriy Kharchenko was born on 3 February 1938 in Manchenky, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, USSR [now Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine]. He was a director and actor, known for Flying leaves (Letyaschiye po vetru listya) (2013), The Mirror (1975) and Povar i pevitsa (1978). He was married to Klara Belova. He died on 25 June 2019.
