- In 2012, he made a rare appearance in Mumbai to attend Asha Parekh's 70th birthday celebration. He came with his sister Nuzhat Khan and her son Imran Khan. They all showed up to support Parekh, who had been in 8 of his father Nasir Hussain's films, and in her memoir "The Hit Girl", she revealed that Hussain was "the one and only true love of my life". She couldn't marry him (already married to Mansoor and Nuzhat's mother Ayesha Khan) without wrecking havoc on both their families, and so she has remained unmarried. Hussain's family realized that Parekh made a personal sacrifice and remains grateful to her. They have continued to stay in touch with her, even though Hussain died in 2002.
