Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Joseph Kessel was born on 31 January 1898 in Villa Clara, Entre Ríos, Argentina. He was a writer, known for Belle de Jour (1967), Army of Shadows (1969) and The Night of the Generals (1967). He was married to Michèle O'Brien, Catherine Gangardt and Nadia-Alexandra Polizu-Michsunesti. He died on 23 July 1979 in Avernes, Val d'Oise, France.

Buried in the exclusive &quot;Montparnasse&quot; cemetery Paris, France.

Of Russian parentage. He was born in Argentina while his parents were
on a South American trip.

He was a member of the Académie Française from 1962 to 1979.

His father was a Jewish-Lithuanian doctor. Kessel&#39;s family moved to France in 1908.
