Mary Kerridge was born on April 3, 1914 in Islington, London, England, UK. She was an actress, known for Miss Marple: A Murder Is Announced (1985), Anna Karenina (1948) and Richard III (1955). She was married to John Counsell. She died on July 22, 1999 in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK.

With her husband ran the Theatre Royal, Windsor from the 1930s to the 1980s.

Her funeral was held in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. By coincidence it is also the resting place of Queen Elizabeth Woodville, the character she played opposite Olivier's Richard III.
