Biography

Tamara Kent is an accomplished Visual Effects Producer, specializing in innovative large-scale blockbuster films & and bringing challenging projects to a successful completion. She recently lead the team on the "The Wizard of Oz at Sphere", which earned her a VES Award and the PGA's Innovation Award. This experiential project utilized cutting-edge technologies and AI tools to redefine the future of entertainment.

In Spring of 2024 she wrapped up post-production on "Rebel Moon 1 & 2" where she oversaw both films and two director's cuts simultaneously. Prior to that, she and DJ DesJardin developed volume capture technology to create two version of Barry Allen for the Warner Bros. feature film "The Flash".

In 2020, as the Co-Producer on "Godzilla vs. Kong", she successfully shifted the VFX team to a remote work environment over a single weekend, ensuring the project remained on schedule. Following this, she and her remote team delivered over 2,500 visual effects shots in 6 months for "Zack Snyder's Justice League".

Known throughout the industry for amazingly detailed planning and leadership under pressure, Tamara spent eight years working with Disney on films including: "A Wrinkle in Time", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", "Alice: Through the Looking Glass" and "Oz the Great and Powerful".

Tamara has also produced the effects for the BAFTA-winning "The Fifth Element" and optimized the final delivery of the Academy Award(TM) winning "Titanic". While "Titanic" was making box office history, Tamara established herself in the freelance world bringing animals to life in "George of the Jungle 2", tackling the first digital native 3D live action feature "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D" and creating multi-layered alternate realities for Zack Snyder's "Sucker Punch".

Tamara has played a critical role creating entirely digital worlds, spearheaded the creation of a proprietary tracking and budgeting system, and in 1997 organized the launch of Motion Pixel, Dream Quest Image's digital division. She is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild of America.
