Quit show business when she got married but is now writing children's stories and working in children's theatre. (August 2003)

She retired in 1981 after making her last TV appearance on the comedy show Barney Miller (1975). She married, and lived and worked just south of Aspen, Colorado with various children's and community-oriented theatre projects. After a 22-year absence from performing, she appeared in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Albee play "Seascape" (as Sarah Kennedy Roth) in 2004 for the Thunder River Theatre Company in Carbondale, Colorado. A cute, petite, dimpled blonde with a delightful ditziness highly reminiscent of Goldie Hawn, she was a Hawn-like replacement on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (1967) during the show's final season in 1972. Dan Rowan took an interest in her after catching her starring performance in the comedy film The Telephone Book (1971). Frequent guest appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962) during that time clinched the "Laugh-In" job.

A cheerleader in high school, she later taught for the National Cheerleading Association of America and traveled around the country putting on demos as a clinician.

Born and raised in Coquille, Oregon, her father was a doctor.

Once a receptionist for a New York talent agency, she subsequently moved into acting. Her adorable baby voice was perfect for cartoons and commercials.

Majored in English and dance and attended both Oregon State University and San Francisco State University before moving to New York City.
