- Jo Kendall was born on February 17, 1940 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England, UK. She was an actress, known for Howards End (1992), The Remains of the Day (1993) and Scum (1979). She died on January 29, 2022 in Denville Hall, Northwood, London, England, UK.
- Was a cast member of the highly successful radio show "I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again". Among her fellow cast members were Tim Brooke-Taylor, John Cleese, Graeme Garden, David Hatch and Bill Oddie.
- Her Emmerdale Farm (1972) character Peggy Skilbeck spoke the very first line in the first episode of the soap opera. Peggy was also the first woman to give birth: she had twins Sam and Sally (played by unknown children), born on 10 April 1973.
