- Hans Kemna was born on March 5, 1940 in Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was a casting director and actor, known for Black Book (2006), Soldier of Orange (1977) and Temmink: The Ultimate Fight (1998). He was married to Adrian Brine. He died on October 27, 2024 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

- Kemna won the Gouden Kalf in 2005 for his 'important contribution to Dutch film culture' awarded by Medy van der Laan (State Secretary for Culture).
- As an actor he played some supporting roles in movies and television series, including in Floris, Turkish Delight, Baantjer and Kinderen geen bezwaar.
- He was awarded the Rembrandt Award in 2012.
- In the 1960s he played with the Nieuwe Komedie in The Hague and Ensemble/Zuidelijk Toneel Globe in Eindhoven.
- He presented two NCRV youth programs on television: Tiener Magazine (1964-1966) and Twien (1966-1967).
