- Marjorie Kellogg was born on July 17, 1922 in Santa Barbara, California, USA. She was a writer, known for Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon (1970), Matinee Theatre (1955) and The Bell Jar (1979). She died on December 19, 2005 in Santa Barbara, California, USA.
- She met the writer 'Fox, Paula' whilst working at the San Francisco Chronicle, and they later collaborated on the scripts for a number of television dramas. It was Fox who encouraged her to adapt her ideas into Kellogg's best known work, "Tell Me You Love Me, Junie Moon", based on the stories she learnt from the patients in her care at the Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.
- After the Second World War she was assigned to work in post-war Europe. On her return she decided to study work and took up a position at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.
- Her early career including stints at the San Francisco Chronicle and Salute Magazine.
- Her training as a hospital social worker was the inspiration for her best selling novel "Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon".
- She received a Bachelor's in 1952 and a Master's a year later both in social work from Smith College.
