Ben Keith was born on March 6, 1937 in Fort Riley, Kansas, USA. He was an actor, known for Greendale (2003), CSNY/Déjà Vu (2008) and Neil Young: Harvest Moon (1993). He died on July 26, 2010 in La Honda, California, USA.

He was raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He is survived by his daughter, Heidi, and seven grandchildren.

He died on Neil Young's ranch in Woodside, California where he had been living at the time of his death.

He was well-known studio musician in Nashville.
