Her filmography covers around thirty films, mainly B-movies: horror films, science fiction, peplum films, as well as poliziottesco, spaghetti western, musicarello, sexploitation and Italian erotic comedy .

Whether she was a brunette hidden under a wig or letting her blonde hair light up the screen, this magnificent German woman was not only a beauty queen in Italy but also one of the queens of erotic films, a genre in which she excelled in the 1970s after making a name for herself in comedy.

Margaret Rose Keil is a German actress naturalized Italian who was sometimes credited as Margaret Keil, Margareth Rose Keil, and Margaret Rose.

A free and liberated woman well ahead of her time, this woman, who was also the face of a famous Italian aperitif brand (Punt e Mes), became increasingly reclusive from the mid-1970s onward before disappearing at the dawn of the 1980s.

Margaret didn't abandon her studies and graduated with a degree in literature.

From modeling to the big screen was a short step, easily taken for such a beautiful young woman. She filmed her first two movies between 1961 and 1962 "Do not touch it" alongside Ugo Tognazzi and"The Island of Lost Girls" by Domenico Paolella in which she is not afraid to challenge taboos by falling in love with a black man.

She was only 16 when she decided to leave her native country for Italy to pursue a modeling career, a decision that, she confessed, frightened her family, whom she was leaving behind.

She broke a taboos in "Eva awakens to love" by Gerry O'Hara, playing a young girl who had contracted an STD.

While simultaneously pursuing her modeling career, frequently posing nude for numerous fashion, film, and men's magazines, Margaret also appeared in many commercials, the most famous being the one for Punt e Mes aperitifs for which she was not only the face,but for which she also sang the accompanying jingle. These commercials were all the more famous because they aired on one of the most-watched television programs of the time, Carosello, a short educational program for children.

"Love is beautiful, but it frightens me," she confessed in a 1965 interview, a consequence of having witnessed her parents' bitter divorce and the gradual deterioration of their marriage during her childhood. This reinforced her desire to live freely, without constraints, alone.

At the beginning of 70's, she was poised to become one of the queens of the "Decameron", filming no fewer than eight in just two years, sharing this title with the unfortunate Krista Nell.

Her moment of glory came in 1968 when she won the title of Lady Europea, held in Cortina.

Margaret disappeared in 1975 from the screen for five years, but she continued to model. In February 1977, she starred in two new photo novels for Lancio.

The title of Lady Europea won in 1968 propelled her to the front page of every newspaper, which was eager to learn more about this new beauty queen whose heart was still available. Indeed, Margaret was still single and had no intention of getting married. She loudly proclaimed that men bored her. For her, they are all self-centered, preventing women from doing what they want, from working, and from asserting their personalities.

1968 was also the year she posed for her first photo novel for the famous Lancio. Between 1968 and 1970, she filmed no fewer than sixteen, seven of which featured her as the main protagonist. This didn't stop her from continuing to work in film.

She filmed alongside Maurice Chevalier in "An American in Rome" by Giuliano Carnimeo, while in "A full heart, empty pockets" she starred alongside Gino Cervi and Senta Berger .

In 1981 she filmed her last movie, a small role in "Starcrash 2". A rather inglorious swan song for the German actress who, at 36, withdrew from public life and vanished completely from the public eye. Extremely discreet, Margaret Rose melted into the crowd, anonymous, leaving no trace behind.

After the successful period of "Damerone"-movies, Margaret's acting career slowly declined.

In 1974 she appeared in the Italian drama "Zelda", by Alberto Cavallone in which she plays a lesbian.This would be her last real film, as afterwards she would only make a few appearances in small productions.
