As a film writer, Terry has conducted lengthy interviews with Diane Keaton, Kevin Spacey, Halle Berry, Yimou Zhang and Kaige Chen.

His feature film, Slaves of Hollywood (1998), won Best Feature at the 1998 Rhode Island International Film Festival. It was later distributed theatrically by "Filmopolis Pictures".

Terry Keefe and Michael Z. Wechsler shot the feature film "Slaves of Hollywood" in the abandoned halls of Orion Pictures when the studio went bankrupt in 1992 and they were kept on as skeleton staff. The Orion offices served as the fictional "Sabine Talent Agency" in the film.

The low-budget director character of "Terry Wechsler," played by actor Leland Orser in the 1995 remake of "Piranha," was inspired by filmmaking partners Terry Keefe and Michael Z. Wechsler. Their roommate and long-time creative partner Alex Simon wrote the film for producer Roger Corman.
