Bradford Keatts

Bradford Keatts is an American television production engineer and systems architect whose career spans more than three decades of animation post-production. A U.S. Navy veteran, he began in 1989 at Sound Castle Studios in Los Angeles, recording dialogue for Warner Bros. animated series. He joined Warner Bros. Animation at the end of 1991 and rose from runner to Head of Technical Operations over sixteen years, engineering the studio's transition from hand-painted cels to the digital domain. He built its in-house digital telecine and 24-frame nonlinear mastering pipeline and oversaw finishing, archives, and delivery across series including "Animaniacs," "Pinky and the Brain," "Batman Beyond," "Static Shock," "Justice League," "Teen Titans," "The Batman," and the Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry franchises. In January 2000, TV Technology published his byline explaining the studio's digital finishing methods. He later served as supervising on-line editor and post-production supervisor at Omation Studios on "Back at the Barnyard," then as Executive Director of Technical Operations at Hasbro Studios, where his credits include "Transformers Prime," "G.I. Joe: Renegades," "Kaijudo," "Transformers: Robots in Disguise," and "Stretch Armstrong & the Flex Fighters." At Hasbro he supervised global media distribution, audio remastering, closed captioning, subtitling, and asset archiving. He went on to serve as Principal Systems Architect at Eastern Computer Exchange, designing media and entertainment workflow systems. A longtime SMPTE member, he described his final Warner Bros. project as completing what he called the largest digital animation 1080p library in history. In 2025 he founded Mission Ready Contractors, a service-disabled veteran-owned media, broadcast, and AV engineering company serving government and enterprise, where he serves as Chief Systems Architect.
