Noted conservationist and animal photographer (author of "With Nature and a Camera", London 1899), brought up on the Yorkshire Moors. Along with his brother Richard, he became a renowned pioneer wild life film producer, who acted in and narrated his films. Also known as 'Captain' Kearton, he was active between 1911 and 1930.
