Kamini Kaushal was born on February 24, 1927 in Lahore, Punjab, British India. She was an actress and producer, known for Kabir Singh (2019), Chennai Express (2013) and Biraj Bahu (1954). She was married to BS Sood. She died on November 13, 2025 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Dilip Kumar in his biography revealed that Kaushal was the first woman he fell in love with. Dilip and Kamini made a popular pairing in the late 1940s appearing in the films 'Shaheed' (1948), 'Nadiya Ke Paar' (1949), 'Shabnam' (1949) and 'Arzoo' (1950).
