Biography

Deep Katdare was born on July 4, 1970 in Buffalo, New York, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for American Desi (2001), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999) and The Cookout (2004). He has been married to Reshma Shetty since March 19, 2011. They have one child.

Katdare's wife, Reshma Shetty, portrays a character named "Divya Katdare" on the television series Royal Pains (2009). Both the first and last names of his wife's character, "Divya Katdare," are a reference or a tribute to Katdare: Divya, because Deep Katdare was executive producer of and actor in a movie entitled Hiding Divya (2006) and Katdare, which is his last name.
