Anne Kasprik

At 19 Anne Kasprik played her first leading role in the film "Einzug ins Paradies". This was in 1982. Since then the inhabitant of Berlin with the green eyes has been seen nearly continuously on screen or canvas. Gladly she plays strong women who may also show their sombre sides.

Anne Kasprik was born on the 11th June, 1963 in Berlin. Her parents, director Hans-Joachim Kasprik and photographer Jutta Kasprik, had already made early contact with film and theater. With direction and practical training on television the DDR recognised her performing talent in the eye, and she concentrated upon it. Her theatrical career began with the TV film "Einzug ins Paradies" (1982). Leading roles followed in a lot of films for the Defa and the television of the DDR, among the rest in the series "Der Staatsanwalt hat das Wort" and "Polizeiruf 110".

Then came a phone call from Hollywood: Terence Hill cast her in his film "The Troublemaker" (1994). However, above all in Germany Anne Kasprik is still an in demand film and television actress, often highly praised by the critics. Recently she finished the shooting of the filming of the novel "Unkenrufe" of Günter Grass, as a film drama. However, the fans of the crime film series Abschnitt 40 (2001) can be calm. In real life she is the proud mother of Alexander (19) who also proved his theatrical talent in the series "Hinter Gittern". Happily Anne Kasprik has been married since 1994 to the Israeli director Oren Schmuckler.
