- Pawel Karpinski is a Polish director, screenwriter, and producer. He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the National Film School in Lodz in 1975. He gained early recognition for directing the film To tylko rock (1984). He is best known for creating and directing the TV series Klan (1997), one of the longest-running soap operas in Poland.
