Biography

Surinder Kapoor was born on December 23, 1925 in Meerut, India. He was a producer and assistant director, known for Pukar (2000), No Entry (2005) and Tarzan Comes to Delhi (1965). He was married to Nirmal Kapoor. He died on September 25, 2011 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

He is the father of famous director Boney Kapoor, superstars Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor.

Cousin of actor Prithviraj Kapoor.

Grandfather of Arjun Kapoor.

Sometimes mistaken for director Surinder Kapoor ( Thanedarni).

Rajesh Khanna who played the title-role in Shehzada was truly of a princely disposition. He started shooting for me without ever discussing the price, saying that we could settle that once the film is made, he said and made banner S. K. International Films became an acknowledged company .
