Biography

In 1962, he graduated with a degree in design from Musashino Art University and was hired by the Senkosha advertising agency that same year. In 1967, he published his first manga work, and the following year he began collaborating with his friend and scriptwriter Aku Yu. From 1968, he began creating works for Weekley Manga Action and Young Comic, two of the most popular gegika magazines. His great success with the public begin in 1971 with manga "Ippiki onna ōkami Gubbai, Maria". Throughout his career, he collaborated with the most popular scriptwriters: Kazuo Koike, Hideo Okazaki, Teruhiko Kuze, Noribumi Suzuki, Ikki Kajiwara, and Husao Maki. He died of laryngeal cancer at just 45 years old.
