  • Dimitris Kallivokas is a Greek actor with an extensive career in theater, film, television, and radio. A graduate of the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory (1954), he studied under prominent figures such as Dimitris Rontiris, Aimilios Veakis, and Giannis Sideris. He began his career at the National Theatre of Greece, making his debut in the chorus of Aeschylus' Oresteia at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Over three years, he performed significant roles, including Valentino in Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust, Martínez in Prosper Mérimée's The Coach, and Oswald in William Shakespeare's King Lear. After leaving the National Theatre in 1957, he worked extensively in the Greek theater scene, collaborating with leading actors of the golden era of Greek stage and cinema. He was a founding member of several theatrical companies, including Piraeus Theatre (D. Rontiris), the Company of the Hellenic Actors' Guild, Proskinio (Alexis Solomos), the Municipal Theatre of Thrace, Theatrical Collaboration, and the Municipal Theatre of Kifisia. Throughout his career, he has appeared in 95 theatrical productions, spanning classical and contemporary works, comedies, and dramas. In cinema, he participated in 38 feature films, both Greek and international. He was also active in radio drama for ERT and YENED and took part in numerous television productions.
