Biography

Served in the US Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper. He was captured and shot by the enemy and left for dead in a mass grave. A penny in his pocket stopped the bullet from killing him. He later crawled out of the pile of his dead comrades and returned to the fight. Only to be wounded by a grenade in combat that left him blind for two years and in which he lost an eye. As a civilian, he later survived a plane crash that killed everybody else.

Father/patriarch of the Kahana stunt family. Father of Tony Kahana, Rick Kahana, Kim Kahana Jr., and Debbie Kahana.

Operating a stunt school in Florida.

He has achieved the martial arts title of Grandmaster.

Owned and operated his famous Kahana's Stunt School which was located in Chatsworth CA on the southwest corner of Devonshire and Owensmouth. This facility also operated as a martial arts dojo/school. Many young men and women attended his stunt school and went on to establish themselves as respectable stunt-people and stunt coordinators. His stunt school is presently located in Florida.
