- Ilkka Järvi-Laturi was born on November 28, 1961. He was a director and actor, known for Darkness in Tallinn (1993), Kotia päin (1989) and Spy Games (1999). He died on March 5, 2023 in Padasjoki, Finland.

- Said in a Finnish television interview that his favourite author is Alistair MacLean.
