- Having appeared onstage in various productions of "Dracula" in the role of Renfield over 1,000 times by his estimation, Mr. Jukes campaigned heavily to perform the part in the 1931 film version as well, ultimately losing out to Dwight Frye. As a result, publicity photos of Jukes in character as Renfield are frequently mistaken for - and published as -- photographs of Frye.
- Attended the School and Army Academy at Wimbledon, England. Spent two years in active service in France during World War I. Arrived in the United States in August 1927.
- According to the October 19, 1935, issue of Smith's Weekly, Bernard Jukes was slated to appear in Come Out of the Pantry (1935).
