Jaimie Lee Finnerty is a veteran visual effects producer and studio owner with more than 25 years of experience in visual effects production across feature films, television, animation, and emerging media.
Jaimie began her career at Digital Domain in 1999, where she was inspired by the studio's groundbreaking work on James Cameron's Titanic and chose to pursue the production side of visual effects. Over the course of her career, she went on to work at some of the industry's leading visual effects and animation studios, including DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Rhythm & Hues Studios, Zoic Studios, Tippett Studio, and Method Studios.
Her early feature film credits include The Matrix Revolutions, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Transformers, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Her experience also extends into feature animation and character-driven projects including Open Season and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, as well as television production on DreamWorks Animation's Emmy Award-winning Dragons: Riders of Berk.
In 2013, Jaimie co-founded Los Angeles-based visual effects studio Digital Frontier FX, where she serves as Co-Owner and VFX Producer. She oversees the studio's production and business operations and guides projects from initial bidding and planning through production and final delivery.
Under her leadership, Digital Frontier FX has delivered visual effects for major studio features, television series, and independent productions. Her credits through the studio include Marvel Studios' The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Fear the Walking Dead, Resident Evil, White Men Can't Jump, and 10 Cloverfield Lane.
Drawing on decades of experience at both large-scale visual effects facilities and an independent studio, Jaimie works closely with filmmakers and production teams to develop budgets, schedules, staffing strategies, and production plans that balance creative ambition with the practical realities of each project. Her responsibilities encompass client relationships, bidding, scope management, production oversight, and the day-to-day business operations of Digital Frontier FX.
Today, Jaimie oversees the business, production, and client operations of Digital Frontier FX, working alongside Co-Owner and VFX Supervisor Chad Finnerty to deliver visual effects for productions ranging from independent features to major studio film and television projects.
