Jessie Jones was born on August 21, 1950 in Texas, USA. She was an actress and writer, known for Switch (1991), Fudge (1995) and For Your Love (1998). She died on March 20, 2026 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA.

She won a high school essay/speech contest before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.

Actress and playwright. Among her best-known works is the Southern-funeral comedy Dearly Departed, which premiered Off Broadway and was produced on multiple U.S. regional and community stages.
