  • An award-winning director, producer, and philanthropist, Adisa's debut feature film Skin in the Game premiered at Urbanworld in 2019 and won Best Director Award at the 27th Annual Pan African Film Festival and soon after, the film was released theatrically to rave reviews. An MFA graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Adisa premiered two films on Showtime and won the Outfest Audience Award for Outstanding Short Narrative and Best Short Film at the San Francisco Black Film Festival.

    Facilitated by acclaimed filmmaker Haile Gerima, Adisa was selected to participate in Ava DuVernay's ARRAY Inaugural Masterclass in 2021. In 2022 Adisa was an Academy Nicholl's Fellowship Semifinalist for his action-packed screenplay Black Ivory which ranked in the top two percentile by Industry professionals.

    Adisa went on to direct and produce A Day Without Mines. Filmed in the diamond district of Sierra Leone, West Africa, Adisa witnessed children as young as six years old working in the mines which impacted him greatly. He was able to capture this remarkable story in a short documentary which won Best Short Documentary at the Beverly Hills Film, TV & New Media Festival and was showcased on PBS.

    Adisa's latest documentary entitled ifine (beauty) recently premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and won Best Short Documentary and the Audience Award at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival. The film is set in the Kono district of Sierra Leone where he has worked with the youth for over thirteen years. Apart of his philanthropy work, Adisa's Sports and Arts Academy for underprivileged youth living in the diamond mining district is currently in construction and is set for a grand opening in 2023.
