  • Susan Johnson is an award-winning director whose work blends emotional authenticity with sharp commercial appeal. Her feature "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" became the #1 movie in Netflix history at the time of its release, the platform’s first film to reach 100 million account views, and launched a globally beloved franchise named among the Best Romantic Comedies of All Time by Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, IndieWire, Marie Claire, and Vogue. Her feature directorial debut "Carrie Pilby" premiered in competition at the Toronto International Film Festival to critical acclaim. Prior to directing, Johnson produced twelve independent features, including "Mean Creek", which competed at Sundance and Cannes and won two Independent Spirit Awards and the Humanitas Award. Johnson, who was recently named a 'Top 20 Breakthrough Director’ by The Playlist, earned an MFA in Directing, on full scholarship, from the American Film Institute.
