- He studied dance at 6 years old at the Minnesota Dance Theatre and later Moppets Players in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also acted and performed with the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis.
- He studied Mime with the late Marcel Marceau in Paris, France at 17 years old and later returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota afterwards where he was artistic director and founded the Ballet of the Dolls in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
