- Judy Johnson was born on March 8, 1924 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. She was an actress, known for Walking on Air (1946), The Red Buttons Show (1952) and Your Show of Shows (1950). She was married to Mort Lindsey. She died on January 29, 2025 in Calabasas, California, USA.

- Originally a big band vocalist under her original name Betty Bonney. Sang with the orchestras of Manny Prager, Les Brown (1941-42), Jan Savitt (1943), Jerry Wald (1943) and Frankie Carle (1944). Subsequently made several recordings for the Victor label and appeared as part of a stage show at the Copacabana in 1948. She changed her professional name to Judy Johnson in 1950.
- Already by the age of eleven, she sang in her own fifteen-minute program on Newport News, Virginia, radio station WGH.
- In 1949, she sang and danced on Broadway in the musical "High Button Shoes", also going on tour with the production.
- Toured the nightclub circuit in 1953 with a backing male group as 'Judy and Her Dates'.
