Ernest Johnson(II)

Ernest Johnson began his entertainment career as a 7 year old film maker creating shorts on super 8 films about life in Compton and submitted his first script to ABC Television Acquisitions. One of the leader of that department in the early 1970's replied with a response to let young Ernest Know that he was moving in the right direction. He began to understudy as an actor in 1978 with internships on Tandem production shows like Diff'rent Strokes, Facts Of Life, The Jeffersons, All In The Family, What's Happening. After leaving the business to follow career goals he was directed back into the industry after assisting actor Todd Bridges with journey to recover and rebirth of his career which lead him to the areas of talent management, talent scouting, and independent film making. He unofficially assisted several commercial, film and television casting directors to help find projects for national commercials, feature films and industrial projects. He assisted the extra's casting associate Monica Cooper for six years on the MOESHA (Brandy Norwood) placing many clients on that series as principals and principal extras. He went on to prepare talent for success on major projects such as Bill Cosby's live action FAT ALBERT FEATURE (20th Century Fox) The Wood, Lock Down (Master P), Three Strikes, He worked with greats like Tyler Perry and assisted Denzel Washington in the early development table reads for the project "Antoine Fisher Story" of which his client was hired but could not continue because of personal family matters. It was Denzel's first time directing a feature. In 2000, Ernest wrote and produced his first feature, FLOSSIN, which was directed by Todd Bridges (Diff'rent Strokes), and His brother James (James at 16) which distributed by Spartan / Urban Domain nation-wide direct to video and recently acquired by Tubi. Other films included Foster Babies 2003, Auto Recovery, Dress Code, Church Invasion, and his newly distributed film, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (featuring Tyrone Burton - WB's The Parenthood with Robert Townsel), which will premier in the coming year. He has developed and nurtured the talent of my A list and B List actors in the industry to, as well as writers and producers who have launched careers with Overbook (Will Smith), Warner Brothers, and Lyons Gate Films. He has produced pilots for many talented artists who have crossed over from television to features. To present he now has two feature films and two television series in development that are being prepared for Lyons Gate, Disney and Marvel / Sony with producers From several films groups.
