Jericho Stone is an American writer known for his works in two underrated comedy flicks, the sci-fi comedy vehicle starring Kim Basinger and Dan Aykroyd in My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988) and also Joe Dante's 1993 nostalgic Matinee (1993) where John Goodman plays a horror film director who releases his latest venture into a small Florida town during the Cuban missile crisis.

A Los Angeles Times article, published in 1989, where he was interviewed details how the original concept of a thrilling story about child abuse became the basis for his first screenplay, and in the article he tells the personal life difficulties he faced while growing up.

After those films, he disappeared from public view.
