  • Fueled by coffee and a passion for animation Nick Jennings has been working in the animation industry for over 30 years. He started his career as the art director of Rocko’s Modern Life for Nickelodeon and continued for the next 13 years helping shape the visual styles of several iconic shows such as Hey Arnold!, The Angry Beavers, CatDog, and SpongeBob SquarePants, for which he won an Annie award in 2004. Rooted in experimentation and innovation Nick transformed the animation process by moving it into the digital age, creating pathways through technology to widen and inspire new visual possibilities. After transitioning his skills to the big screen to be the production designer on The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Nick’s career took him to Cartoon Network where he played a pivotal role as art director and supervising producer for the acclaimed Adventure Time with Finn and Jake. His experience on Adventure Time won him two Emmy’s, a BAFTA, a Telly, and a Peabody award. Always looking ahead for new challenges Nick then took on the role of show runner and executive producer on the new Powerpuff Girls series. After a successful 3 seasons, Nick championed the creative and stepped into the role of executive producer for the Cartoon Networks Cartoon Cartoons Shorts Program where he brought his love of animation, experimentation, and creative insight to shepherd over 20 original 7-minute shorts. Nick’s love for animation as a form of self-expression grows stronger every day and he continues to look for opportunities to push animation forward to new heights.
