Mini bio

  • Trilby Jeeves is a director, actor, and writer based in Vancouver, and PEI, Canada.

Most recently, Trilby wrote and directed her first short film, The Rolling Pin, which has screened at various festivals and has won several awards.

She was the first English student to be theatrically trained in her second language, French, at the notable "Le Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique" in Quebec City. Trilby went on to direct in both languages and perform up to forty plays with a highlight being her one woman show, Dusty Shoes.

In addition, she has worked as a costumer for over 30 years in the theatre, (Confederation Centre Theatre in PEI, The National Arts Centre, The Banff Centre) and the film industry, (SuperNatural, IZombie, Highlander, Spielberg's Taken, Paramount's Higher Ground; and films such as Disney's Descendants, Angels In The EndZone, and The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Universal's Snow Falling On Cedars and many more.)

As an instructor, Trilby teaches her own profoundly playful Buffoonery Acting Workshops. Students from VanArts Media School, Vancouver Film School, and private workshops have benefited from her unique approach.
