- Dommie Jayawardena was born on June 25, 1927 in Ambalangoda, British Ceylon. He was an actor and director, known for Daru duka (1967), Subhadra (1960) and Sihinaya (1959). He died on December 28, 1979 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
