Henry Jayasena was born on 6 July 1931 in Bendiyamulla, Gampaha, Ceylon [now Sri Lanka]. He was an actor and writer, known for Sadol kandulu (1967), Ganga Addara (1980) and Sri 296 (1959). He died on 11 November 2009 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
