- Eddie Jayamanne was born on February 15, 1915 in Negombo, Sri Lanka. He was an actor and producer, known for Rahas Dupatha (1967), Siriyalatha (1957) and Dosthara (1956). He died on July 25, 1981 in Palliyawaththa, Handala, Sri Lanka.
- Eddie Jayamanne was a popular Sri Lankan comedian and actor of early Sri Lankan cinema.
