  • Getting his start as a stage actor in his late teens, Donnie was the resident 'angry young man' at the Freight House Rep, Step Sister to the Seattle Rep at that time.He moved to LA in his early twenties to train at the American Academy and soon discovered that he liked telling stories and creating worlds good deal more than acting in those belonging to someone else.

    Since making the transition to writer/director with the stage play "Go Fish" (produced as a feature film and distributed through Porch Light entertainment) Donnie has written twenty- four full length stage plays and several one acts, directing and producing several of them for Los Angeles theaters and adapting three of to the screen. "Nine Ball", produced by "What Exit? Films starring Kenneth Johnson (Pensacola, The Shield, Saving Grace, Bates' Motel, Swat") is available in Netflix.

    Donnie has also directed two full-length features - one of them a horror film that he penned and while living in China - a handful of successful short films, and a web series pilot. His stage play, "Tiger Lilies", which was also made into an indie film, was optioned by Al Pacino for his theatre and passed on by Madonna's production company for being 'too controversial'.
