Biography

Victor Janson was born on September 25, 1884 in Riga, Russian Empire [now Latvia]. He was an actor and director, known for The Doll (1919), The Oyster Princess (1919) and Die Dame in Schwarz (1920). He died on June 29, 1960 in West Berlin, West Germany.

Beefy Latvian-born comic character actor and singer, on stage in Germany from 1904. Also a noted film director, specialising in romantic comedies during the 1920's and 30's.

The actor Victor Janson very successful both as an actor and as a director.

Victor Janson was also engaged with pleasure as an actor in the sound film era - most for funny roles - especially from the the end of the 30's till to the 50's when he stopped his activity as a director.

From 1918 he also directed his first movie and continued his career as an actor and director from now on.
