Janosch was born on 11 March 1931 in Hindenburg, Upper Silesia, Germany [now Zabrze, Slaskie, Poland]. He is a writer, known for Television Theater (1953), Panama (1982) and Janosch (1986). He has been married to Ines since 2013.
One of Germany's best children's books authors and illustrators, having
published over 150 books, which were translated in nearly 30 languages,
to date.
